Column 2 row 1

Summarize is to write a paragraph from 3 to 5 sentences and ask about 3 questions about what’s happening for instance:  whenever Greg complains to his mom about Rodrick. Rodrick always pull out the same lame excuse “My body is on a schedule.” So there is no way to complain to his brother about anything.
Prediction is to tell what you think will happen in the story and give the evidence about it, for example: I think in the future Greg will have to wash the dishes himself because his brother is lazy and he always have a boring excuse but his excuse always works.
Visualization is when you found something that you think is important you write it in and draw a picture about it and give the evidence for the picture, for instance: first I draw a picture of Greg withan angry face and the title I will put is Greg is angry the evidence is he is angry because he always have to do all the work and Rodrick is not doing anything.
Questioning is question about the story about what happen before the story, what happen during the story and what happen after the scene, for example: before: Greg have to wash the dishes and Rodrick is in the toilet waiting. During: Manny really hate his brothers because they are so annoying. After: I wonder that when will him and his brother get together.
Vocabulary is to find a word that you don’t understand from the book that you read and find the definition of the word, for example: traumatic I think that mean thing happen in my life the definition is shock to a body as from violent or accident
Inference is to find a claim about what you read and give the evidence about your inference, for instance inference: every summer Greg cannot stay home to play game. Evidence: at 7:30 morning his dad wake him up to go to swimming in the team
Connection is what you find in the story that connect to yourself, connect to a book that you have read and connect to the world for example:
Text to text: this story remind me of another book like this kid always lazy and he have to pay money for his friend to do his homework
Text to self: this remind me of when my dad is lazy and he forget his glasses in the car so he ask me to go get it
Text to world: this reminds me of when people eat something done they don’t clean it like me I do not clean up after I eat sometime

Column 3 row 1

To help me understand the story more, I would read five to seven pages and summarize what I have read in my reading journal. When I have read five pages I would write down what I have read because it helps me to remember what I have read. I sometimes forget what I have read if I read too much and do not write it down. When I summarize I use questioning so that I can summarize the story better. For example: in the story of “Diary of Wimpy Kid- Rodrick Rules,” I would ask “what happen to Greg in this scene?” or “how will Greg solve the problem in the next scene?” There was this one scene when Greg was scared of Rowley because Rowley got the job to be a nurse in school and Rowley got to hang out with a lot of girls that have the same job chart. Greg was scared that Rowley would tell all the girls about his second embarrassing moment in life. He solved this problem by coming up with a plan to read Rowley’s Diary, but it was locked. He thought of a plan by buying the same diary and using the key of it to open Rowley’s diary. Greg’s plan worked.  When Greg read Rowley’s diary, Greg found out that there was nothing to be worried about. Summarizing what I have read after five to seven pages really helps me to understand the story better. I think it’s the best strategy for me.

Column 1 row 2

i think this is important because is keep Greg from playing video games all day and not go outside for a second so he need to practice more so his dad and mom take him to the swimming pool to join the team and have competion so he can stay far away from the video game and swimming for fu. he change of this scene because he dont want to swim so he stay in the toilet. the conflict change after the scene by his school is start so he don't have to swim anymore

A Blog Entry on my Writer's Notebook Story

In the last few week i have write a lot in my writer notebook and i think im going to keep on writing the story about im skateboarding i think it wont be really interested for people who dont skate. but there will be some part that they will find it funny like the security trace me with the baton.

why is my story is a good story ? well because skateboarding don't really popular in Vietnam so in the school will have a little people know about it so when they hear about the trick in skateboarding i think they will be interested my story about the skateboard trick, even you can do a skateboard trick down a gap or a set of stairs.

For the last one how can i make my story better ? i think im going to put more dialouges, more figurative language like similies, metaphor, repatition and alliteration, so the story will sound much better and more interesting for the reader to read, and i will put more thesis statement in my story like opinion but i wont make it too wordy, too general so it will go better
